1/16 French Republican Guard Officer ICM “World’s Guards” #16004 Sealed MISB

Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! ICM is a company from Kyiv in Ukraine that has been around since the mid-90’s. It used to be tough to get these in the states but now several big players carry their line. It is good to see that they are still producing new kits, too. This kit is part of their new “World’s Guards” figure series and represents an officer of the French Republican Guard (ceremonial honor guards and security for official French state events) in full dress uniform with traditional armament. There is an optional stand with various paving patterns to choose from. I found dozens of listings for this kit on eBay (almost all from distant overseas sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you quickly. Here is some of the info I found about this model from around the web: The ICM site has a colorful page for this kit with 10 photos showing the box art, four angles of an assembled, unpainted figure and four sprue shots. They even provide a link to download the complete, full-color, 2-page instruction set and painting guide. Scalemates.com shows that this is a new tooling from 2016. They show the box art and have plenty of links to reviews, but no other relevant information about the kit. Adie Roberts delivered an enthusiastic In-Box Review on the archive.armorama.com site. He shows the parts in a dozen photos and discusses each portion of the figure in detail. He was surprised by the level of detail achieved without any over engineering. He was also very happy with the excellent display base and in his Conclusion, he said: “I have over the years bought and made several ICM model kits with varying degree of moulding, however, they have grown considerably as a company and really upped their game with some stunning new moulds and ideas.” Thomas Schäffter wrote up a thorough In-Box Review on the German-language modellversium.de site. He provides a short history of the Garde Républicaine before showing the sprues and instructions in 10 photos. He praises the outstanding design of the moldings, with few attachment points and no flash. He is a fan of the new ICM series and mentions: “the uniform has been reproduced very well. The drape is excellent and everything is very well detailed. The headgear is a shako with a feather headdress.” There is a brief In-Box Review and a 4.5-minute Unboxing Video on the bilingual (English / Russian) detailscaleview.com site. He shows the two sprues for the figure in high-resolution photos including detailed views of both sides of the main sprue. He liked the detail and quality, which rival a resin figure and said: “Careful painting should bring you amazing result, which will attract attention. Assembly should be easy, parts division is done in logical way, so you won't have problems here.” This kit is in a sturdy box wrapped in a colorful box about 11.5” x 9” x 1.5”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed with tape strips, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit with 25 grey (and maybe black) plastic parts to build a colorful French Republican Guard Officer figure and a stand that will liven up your display case.
