Description: These 12 handmade soap bars were made using the cold processed soap method. Every one of these soap batches was made using the same two simple soap recipes. The regular and the lightly exfoliating version of the Pure Tallow bar. We begin by distilling our own hydrosol water from fragrant herbs and rose petals harvested from our own garden. Next we add Aloe Vera, which is also harvested from our yard. This makes the soap creamier and infuses it with the additional benefits that aloe vera has on our skin. The hydrosol water also has a very lovely subtle fragrance. The objective when formulating a recipe is to produce a well balanced soap that will leave the skin feeling clean and fresh without drying it out. This recipe is one of the simplest and most basic of all our recipes. Besides the fragrance oils added at the end, the only oil used in these recipes is Beef Tallow. Being such a well balanced ingredient on its own, it is possible to make a very unadulterated bar of soap using just the one oil ingredient. Very popular for those with sensitive skin and also leaves hair feeling soft and silky. Just a small amount of Diatomaceous Earth and Epsom Salt is the difference between the regular Pure Tallow and the exfoliating version of the same recipe. It makes the bars very lightly exfoliating while giving them a pleasant texture. Each individual bar weighs around 5-6 oz. They are all large bars that fit comfortably in the hand thanks to a beveling of all sharp edges and corners. Cured for at least 6 weeks and then carefully packaged, we try (and mostly achieve) same day shipping. Some days are busier than others though. Having a variety of scents, these12 individual soap bars are bundled for maximum savings.
