Description: 13 Yards of Vintage Baby Doll Ric Rac Rick Rack 4 Red 5 White 4 Blue cotton or rayon. Rayon is made out of wood pulp & was introduced to the USA in 1911 as a silk alternative. The name rayon came into play around 1924. I only had two choices new or used when it’s really pre owned and never been used. I can’t say it’s new when it was new in the 1940s. I’ve sewn & made Ginny & other doll clothing with it and the trim is strong. This size rick rack or ric rac is perfect for creating doll clothing and other crafts. The trim is in the shape of ric rac and is 1/8 inch in size. Which was the standard size until around 1960 when baby ric rac became bigger and started to be blended with polyester. Which is an issue when re-creating the vintage and antique doll clothing. To the discerning eye, the newer size ric rac looks a tad too big. This trim is perfect for adding a touch of vintage charm to any project. It is ideal for those who love to add unique embellishments to their sewing creations. The trim is sold as a lot and is perfect for those who love to stock up on vintage I used to sell this ric rac 6 yards for 8.00 dollars when I did doll shows decades ago.
