Description: 1716 Holy Bible printed in Edinburgh by James Watson Very early Edinburgh printing in two very nicely bound volumes. The bindings appear to be correct and original for the time period, but the general title page has been laid on a later sheet of paper and margins have been cut close. It's possible the bindings were cut close at the original binding, or this could have been a very early rebind. Either way, these are two very beautiful and solid volumes! Volume one holds open a little more than volume two. Leather shows a little wear, but still very attractive. Each volume measures around 4.75" x 2.75" with a combined thickness of around 2".
