L. Scovill, respecting the test of our SAFES, at the late burning of his building, on the corner of Fifth and Race Streets: CINCINNATI, OHIO, May 2, 1851. Mr. C. URBAN: SIR, -Feeling that the public should know the strong test which the SAFE that I bought of you underwent, I make the following statement : In the burning of my building, on the corner of Fifth and Race Streets, which took place a few days since, (April 25th,) although the Safe was exposed to the greatest heal of the fire, and was entirely negleced, no water being thrown upon it, and notwithstanding it was fully six hours after the fire originated before I could remove my books from it yet when they were taken out they were not in the least injured by the fire.
