Description: There wasn't any president before Theodore Roosevelt who did more for conservation in this country than he did. But he also enjoyed hunting, in this country as well as in Africa. A complex individual, huh? Most people know about his encounter with a bear cub and the positive reporting of that event which lead to the worldwide popularity of the Teddy Bear. Yet, he was a serious bear hunter and wrote several books about hunting out west. Here we see the president on a horse with his rifle in Colorado heading out from Newcastle pictured on a 1905 stereo view card made by Underwood and Underwood and the Littleton View Company. We're also listing another image from this trip with the men and dogs who went with him on that hunt. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. S & H on this will be $6.00 sent well-protected in a box, first class with tracking. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence, and we'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay says we won't. We just give you a refund for any overpayment. 7104
