The reel is fully functioning with a smooth retrieve and working anti-reverse. The chrome is shiny and the bail spring is strong and flips over with a light finger dab. The box is solid, with some shelf wear (see pictures), and the extra spool is in a plastic container with no cracks. This is an excellent condition, fully functioning, 65 year old reel, complete in it's box, to fish with or add to a collection.
