Typed report reads:RENO, Nev., April 16--HIKERS EXERCISE--British sergeants Merwyn Evans, left, and Patrick Moloney, striding through Nevada on their cross-country trek, try their luck at slot machines. They trudged into Reno in the early evening and planned to stay overnight. The pair walked from San Francisco in five days but still have 2,790 miles between them and New York City.
