This is an original press photo. Jackson, New Hampshire: President Kennedy wrestles with international problems but Robert Freeman, Harvard College classmate is quite content to wrestle with the problems of a plumber in the tiny White Mountain village of Jackson, New Hampshire, population 315. Freeman, who received an A.B. degree in English literature in President Kennedy's class of 1940 first taught history, English and Latin in a preparatory school. After a four year hitch as a lieutenant in the Army Medical Corps he came up to the mountains as an innkeeper. Forced to learn plumbing, he decided it was more profitable than innkeeping and now does it full time. Photo measures 8 x 10inches. Photo is dated 3-28-1963.
