1964 SERVICED Longines Wittnauer Men Art Deco Wind Tank Watch Fancy Lugs Vintage

Description: This classic, Art Deco inspired, 1964, mid century modern, Mad Men era gentleman’s wristwatch is typical of the smaller, beautiful tank and tonneau style watches manufactured for gentlemen in the 1940’s, 1950’s and ‘60’s. This model Longines Wittnauer and is especially desirable among collectors due to its simplicity and elegance. The strap is 13/16” so it’s wider than most from the era giving a bigger overall appearance. This watch has been fully serviced cleaned and oiled (its got a new mainspring, balance and crystal) and is ready to wear with a new old stock crocodile calf strap, new old stock acrylic crystal and new spring bars. The Swiss Made movement is a 17 Jewel 10S movement completely refurbished and serviced with a new mainspring and new complete balance. The movement appears original to the watch. This watch appears to have the original (not refinished) black enamel dial with bright white 10K gold filled hour markers and hands. The dial, case, and movement are all marked Longines and the case is 10K gold filled with minor surface scuffs but no significant loss of gold. The case back is stainless steel.
