Description: Up for sale is a one-owner 1972 NORMA Japan electric guitar with original case. I purchased this from a gentleman who stated that his parents bought it for him to take lessons in 1971 or 1972. He took a few lessons, but then did not pursue music. He had kept the guitar his entire life for sentimental value but then decided to sell it because he was moving and had to let it go. I have seen Norma guitars over the years, but this particular model was (I believe) the most popular model. There have been a few examples that I’ve seen online over the last 10 years, but they are almost always missing something like the whammy bar (most common thing missing), the tailpiece cap, or the GOLD in the pickups has been removed, and I have NEVER seen the original case for this model. But most importantly – this model had the BETTER DECAL on the headstock, the one you typically see is a tacky, square decal that looks very bad. In the photos, you will see that these inexpensive guitars were painted and varnished very cheaply, and their finishes always crack. This one is no exception. There are a few minor scuffs and dings on the guitar, but overall, if you collect Teisco or other Japanese 60s/70s import guitars, you might like this piece. It completely works, and I am pricing it for a collector somewhat higher than normal because it’s 100% complete. There appears to be some epoxy gunk on the top of the case but I think Goo Gone would get this off. It is being sold AS-IS. Shipping will be $40 to the Continental U.S.
