It is 100% identical to the original part so this base will be plug and play, just like your factory original. 33" reception wire. A common problem is when one runs threw a car wash, the mast puts tremendous pressure on this base and breaks the brass stud off that the mast screws onto, so this is the part that is needed to get your radio up and running again. This base is GM's Updated Version, meaning it has a 7 mm stud instead of the 6 mm stud that breaks so easy. Your vehicle was made with a base that had a 6mm stud, again because it breaks so easy, GM upgraded this part to a 7mm version. The 6mm version is no longer made. So if you have a original 6 mm mast you will need to update it to a 7 mm mast, or purchase an adaptor which we have as well to connect to your original mast. The adaptor is not supplied with this base.
