Description: Fresh from a fine New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful Antique / Vintage 20th C French Louis XV Style Inlaid & Bronze Mounted Marble Top Commode / Dresser / Chest. Large beauty, wonderful floral inlay over front two drawers, matching the ones on the sides. There is a total of two large deep drawers, each with a pair of bronze handles. Remainder of the commode has matching bronze mounts, corners, and all edges, coming down to the sabots on the feet. It is topped with the most beautiful rare PINK marble, which was not original to this piece, but added later, hence it does not overlap the edges as it is usually the case (please see photos). The commode is in very good condition, recently polished, showing light age / use wear, and there is an antique repair on the corner of the marble (very last photo). Large and impressive size 49" widest point, 21" deep, and it is 36" in height. Great piece for any setting, traditional or mid-century modern, the marble color is unique and amazing!
