This little RARE polychromed "Maiolica" figurine was produced by a Gzhel Russian manufacturer. I have not been able to find an exact stamp copy on the internet to help identify it but clearly of Russian production piece and not an Asian unmarked knockoff. I have seen a similar little horse decorated in the more familiar blue and white with a different makers mark. Makers marks change through the years and this might be the case here. Do your research.This item is in excellent condition for its age which is estimated to be prior to 1970. No cracks, crazing, chips or breaks, just perfect. A very attractive and charming little RARE, MARKED Item that will fit beautifully into your Gzhel porcelain collection.
