Remove Release the metal retaining clips and move the intake tubes in front of and behind the filter out of the way,this may require some finesse. Once the intake tubes are pushed out (you'll only get about 1/4"-1/2" of clearance), pop the filter loose by tugging straight up. A pair of barbed prongs secure it to the bottom mount, they should release with a firm pull. If that doesn't work, rock the filter side to side while pulling upwards.You can also choose to replace the filter element after removing the air filter assembly. Install Install the new filter in reverse order, making sure the barbs snap into place. Notice the loops on the front and rear of the air filter need to be lined up with the corresponding grooves on the intake tubing. Failure to properly line these up will result in a poor seal and may allow your truck to pull in unfiltered air.Lock the retaining clips.
