3D printed keyboard for Korg NTS-1

Description: Demo Video This 3D printed attachment makes the Korg NTS-1 ribbon strip much easier to play by adding tactile keys. How to use: The attachment has small ridges that allow it to snap onto the synthesizer's top plate. Over time these ridges may wear down and stop working, so there are also two mounting holes on each side, conveniently placed over the NTS-1's assembly screws. These screws are long enough to hold the keyboard attachment in place. The keyboard holes are tight, so take your time threading the screws and be careful not to lose them (they are tiny)! If your ribbon is heavily offset you may need to calibrate the ribbon to work with the keyboard attachment and notes on the edges might not work. See Korg's documentation on how to calibrate the NTS-1. The NTS-1 is a novel musical instrument. Don't expect to be a virtuoso after immediately installing the keyboard attachment. The keyboard makes playing MUCH easier but the flats will be harder to press cleanly than natural keys. You can mod this keyboard further by gluing something to the top of the flats in order to raise the profile if necessary. For instance, simply placing a bead of gel-type super glue will make a dramatic difference. You can go one step further and cut off the ends of zip ties and glue them to the flats. This listing is for a plastic keyboard attachment, NOT a Korg NTS-1 synthesizer. The attachment is a 3D printed part and as such will sometimes have small imperfections. Also, the part is relatively fragile if subject to abuse. Don't expect it to survive being stepped on, thrown across the room, or survive extreme temperatures. If used sensibly this keyboard should last a long time. I personally test every print before shipping.
