Description: 4 Beautiful Weil Ware California Pottery Dinner Plates Celadon Blossom MCM Measures 9 3/4 inches across Condition: Pre-owned. Four vintage Weil Ware of California Pottery Celadon "Blossom" dinner plates. The shape is a rounded square. Weil was in business from 1930s-1960s. All parts of the Blossom line had hand painted design details. These are in decent shape. One plate has a tiny fleabite in the glaze on the rim. One plate has a tiny chip under the rim (backside). Very minimal damage considering the age of these plates. All of this Weil Ware dinnerware has some light glaze crazing (lines running through the glaze). It's common with some vintage dinnerware. Some of these show light crazing. All have stamps from the very first manufacture of this line somewhere in the 1940s. They have the maker's mark and that the patent has been applied for stamped on the backs That makes these very early pieces! They also have the extra raised circle in the center of the foot that later plates do not have. If you are seeing a crazy shipping price, please don't hesitate to contact me!
