Description: 5 PYREX Double Tough BURGUNDY BAND BERRY BOWLS Restaurant Ware Milk Glass RED Click images to enlarge Description Here is a set of 5 vintage PYREX, Double Tough BURGUNDY BAND BERRY BOWLS. Made by the Corning Glass Company in the 1950's (possibly even earlier), as part of the Restaurant Ware line. The MILK GLASS BERRY BOWLS feature a solid thick BURGUNDY RED BAND around the outer edge of the bow. Each BOWL measures 4 3/4" wide by 1 1/4" tall. Very Good to Excellent overall condition, clean with smooth rims or edges, strong colors and decal, high gloss or shine. Marked on the bottom in raised letters: U.S. PYREX, double tough, Made in USA. The Restaurant Ware line produced mass quantities of dishes for the food industry. Typically this style bowl was used for holding butter pats, desserts or vegetables. They featured clean lines and patterns and durability. I found these bowls at a now closed V.F.W. Post. Condition is awesome! Several (and I mean alot), items appear new, no utensil marks, unused, (packed in their original boxes). I have hand washed all items (BOWLS) and inspected for any imperfections. The boxes were quite dusty from sitting. Please view each photo carefully for more information and details.
