My father and I found 3 rolled up prints in an antique shop in Meadville PA in 1975.Two of the three were the Forbes Field inaugural game and the third was the 1909 World Series print.We had them professionally matted and framed at a shop in Meadville.The one in this listing is the last one we have.Every time I have looked at this over the years I see something new.The scene is from the right field stands and you can see the right fielder is a blur as he throws the ball back into the second baseman.I would think the photographer is capturing this scene in the top of the first inning to document the first action, or perhaps he was waiting for the Pirates to bat in the bottom of the first.There is no updated score on the scoreboard, so it makes me think the game is just starting.If the Pirates are batting, then this is a very rare image of "Tinker, Evers, and Chance" in the infield. All three were in the lineup on this day. Also that would be Johnny Evers taking the throw from the right fielder.The right fielder on this day would either be Frank Schulte (Chicago) or Chief Wilson (Pitt).There are 20 Pittsburgh players appearing at the bottom including the great Honus Wagner, and the lesser known HOFer Fred Clarke.As for the condition, it does has have several creases and even some little tears but is still visually amazing to view.Some of the creases are original since this was folded inside the publication for its original distribution.I have added several images from the print so please review below.The measurements of the frame are 44-1/2 x 20-1/2.It may be picked up in Western PA, about 25 minutes north of downtown Pittsburgh.Cash will be accepted at that time.
