Description: DEFINITIONS: these valves are designed to use air, filtered with a 40 micron filter. They can be used with air, nitrogen, CO2 and low viscosity fluids like water and some light oils that are compatible with viton O-rings. a 2-Way valve is ON-OFF, has an inlet and outlet port and is usually used for aquariums, air for CNC applications. A 3-way valve can be modified to be a 2 way valve by plugging the exhaust port. A 3-way valve is usually used to control single acting pneumatic cylinders. It has an inlet port, a port to the cylinder and an exhaust port to discharge the air from the returning piston. These are usually "normal closed" but can be modified to be normal open, which I use for drag racing "throttle stop" controls. Solenoid coils come in several voltages. I have both 12VDC and 110VAC available These valve have 1/8" pipe size ports. They come in 1/8" BSP and 1/8" NPT pipe thread sizes. BSP stands for British Standard Pipe, and NPT stands for National Pipe Thread . BSP is common in British Commonwealth countries and NPT is standard in the US.. They are basically the same size but the thread form is different enough that the fittings are not interchangeable. BSP can be converted to NPT with a special tap.
