Description: This set was released in 1996 and retired in 1999 by the original American Girl company, Pleasant Company. The set includes 8 pieces. There's a black pleated skirt with a three-tiered and gold striped waist band. The black fitted cropped jacket is entirely lined with black satin. The white cotton long sleeve blouse has a pleated front with an attached gold striped bow tie in the same material as the waistband. There are thin polyester tights with a see through diamond pattern. Please note these are not in the best condition, but still very usable. The shoes are black patent flats with two small gold studs. The outfit is completed with a black satin pleated headband that has a gold rose and a gold tassel. The violin is made from plastic and has metal strings. The bow is also plastic with strings. The violin is kept in the black carrying case that is line with blue velvet. There is a blue ribbon to hold the violin in place. It opens and closes easily and is in excellent condition. The Christmas Solos for the Violin music book contains real Christmas songs with notes. There are multi pages. It is all so adorable! If you are a collector you will enjoy adding this to your set. If it is for a child, maybe a musical one, they will love this. It is very unique and special!
