Description: Antique Tole Painted Wood and Metal Wire Birdcage - It measures approximately 16” tall. It is 12.5” wide/length and 8.5” in depth. Includes a cute little painted wooden bird on the inside. This is a real birdcage but could be used as a decor piece. It has a tray that pulls out at the bottom for cleaning. Pretty orange, red, and black flower scroll tole painted border around the top of the cage. Great antique condition with wear and rust. Solid wood and metal wire construction. May be hung from the top metal ring or placed on a stand. Previous owner/collector believed this birdcage was made by hand in Pennsylvania, USA somewhere between 1890 and 1910 by French/Italian craftsman. Prepackaged weight: 4 lbs. 7 oz.
