Description: Up for auction: Item: Antique Capodimonte Figurine Circa 1771-1817 NAPLES, Italy Mark: "Crown Over N" Lady in Pink Lace Layered Dress *********** Description: I have been going through my late mother’s belongings. She saved many of these antique and vintage pretty lady figurines among her more treasured decorative china and art pottery collectibles. I do not know anything about them except that she kept them untouched & protected for years in her China Closet. Details: · This mark was stamped in blue on a variety of pieces including decorative objects and tableware made in the second Capodimonte factory to be established in Naples by King Charles VII’s son, Ferdinand. · This is the mark most often associated with Capodimonte by dealers and collectors. · It was used from 1771 until the factory closed in the early 1800s (some sources indicate a closing date of 1817, others say 1834). · Pieces marked in this way occasionally make their way into the secondary antique market, · usually at high-end antique shows, and are highly prized by collectors when found in excellent to mint condition. · There are no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs. · Missing a few parts of layered lace on back (see photos) that do not detract from overall beauty and actually appears as if the design/pattern is a part of the layering. • Please review all of the photos; the photos represent a visual description of the figurine that you will be receiving. RE: Collectibles: The item currently has not been, wrapped, insulated, protected or packaged if auction is still ongoing and therefore this seller would not know the postal zones and particulars to whom this highly collectible antiquity will be shipped. I simply follow the Post Office’s scale on its table. Weight plus distance determines the shipping price.
