Featuring a long, thick mane, curled tail and open mouth, lion bears original gold paint with red accenting his mouth interior. As shown, this is only one side of a penny bank - somewhere in the life of the bank (probably when it was taken apart to access the coin), the two sides separated and the screw was probably lost. I always planned on making something out of this half as the molding and paint are so striking - just never got around to it. Think it would be wonderful simply used for display - reminds me of a game target - a nice early, original bank side - fun addition to any collection!
