Description: ANTIQUE MID 20TH CENTURY VINTAGE RARE SIGNED JHR ROWELL SADDLE COMPANY, HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA, USA, STERLING SILVER LADIES SASH STYLE WESTERN BELT BUCKLE OR BARRETTE FEATURING A CENTER HORSE HEAD—- ****Please take note that this wonderful old vintage sterling silver item will need some repair to make it functional again because it is missing one clasp, as our photos show.*** These antique Rowell Saddle Company items are rare finds and we have never seen this design before. It has a beautiful naturally aged patina on the expertly hand engraved sterling silver base. There is also a bronze 3-D horse head image at the center. We believe that it is a sash style ladies buckle, but we could be mistaken about that. It might have originally been in some other buckle category or a barrette. We’re not sure. The dimensions are 4 1/4” x 1 3/8” and has an opening in the one remaining clasp of about 1/2” wide. The weight is about one ounce.
