Description: Antique French fashion doll two piece gown. Made of a silk woven fabric. Jacket top has bell sleeves with fine fringe trim at each sleeve edge, neckline, bodice, and lower jacket edge. Another fine trim decorates each front side opening. Hook and loop closure. Unlined. Hand stitching. Matching skirt with slight train at the back. Fitted waist with hook and loop closure. The jacket measures approximately 5 1/4 inches long, jacket waist measures approximately 7 inches around, sleeves measure approximately 4 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches around at the most narrow portion. The back to back shoulder measurement is approximately 3 3/4 inches across with slightly dropped shoulder seams. The skirt measures approximately 8 1/2 inches long down the center front. The waist measures approximately 6 inches around. Ca. 1850/60’s. Lovely gown for and antique fashion doll. Fair to good condition. Sturdy for wear. Skirt has significant fade at the front.
