It was used to adorn the back of a French Bonnet from 1700s to end of 1800’s. No longer made after 1899. This piece came from a store in Paris called La Grande Maison de Blanc when it closed. I had about a dozen at one time. I am selling my last four, two adult size 10 inch and two child size 8 inch. I am not confident that any more will become available. Not made for 124 years.
