Description: This rare Art Nouveau coaster with ceramic bottom is from Germany's famous WMF factory (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) which was founded in 1853. The coaster's silver plated sides are in a lattice pattern, and the base shows a lovely winter scene. It is in very good vintage condition, with some spotting (blackening) of the silver and a small imperfection of the ceramic (please see pictures). The marker's mark on the side shows WMF's famous ostrich mark, used by WMF in 1903-1910. The coaster comes to you from a non smoking home.
