Description: For your consideration, a charming antique bronze sculpture of a seated putti drawing or writing on a large pad after Antonio Canova, likely circa early to mid 19th century Italian. The sculpture is very finely cast, unmarked, and likely was originally fitted onto a stone base. The patinated finish has been polished off resulting in a brighter gold finish. Some hard to reach areas still have a small amount of metal polish residue present. The sculpture is otherwise in decent condition with no major signs of damage or repair. A few small newer surface scratches are present, as noted in photos. Signature required for delivery. Measures approximately 9.5 inches in height, 4.75 inches in width, and 6.25 inches in profile depth.
