Pleased to present this huge romantic painting on tapestry, with a nicely carved light frame in ornate gilding. Paintings on tapestry are extremely rare, very hard to find today. The technique has a different effect from oil on canvas. The weave is more prominent, which allows more paint to soak through the back. It has a unique celestial 'old-world' tapestry quality & an airy-translucent appearance. Notice how the lovely dancer almost floats! This is quite large, it would look incredible on a spacious empty wall, dining room, a fireplace, & especially a tall stairwell...leading the eye straight up, giving height & a grand entrance. This gorgeous painting adds sophistication & elegance to any room. The estate sale manager pointed out this has a signature of two initials "LH' on bottom-right, but it appears to be mostly covered by the frame (difficult to make out). Also, there are wooden canvas keys inserted on back, two at each corner to strengthen the canvas to prevent sagging & keeping square throughout time.
