Description: Late 19th century's (circa 1890) Chinese moulded hand painted Sancai green glazed Foo dog/temple lion incense stand statue. The figure stands on a hollow rectangular pedestal base with pierced emblems to three sides.The dog has its open mouth revealing its teeth, the bulging eyes have been glazed a black colour and there is a spot of red brown glaze on the forehead as well as a few spots in the mouth. The interior is hollow and you can see the clay.There is a chip on the back, shown in the last photo, otherwise in good conditions with minor nibbles and wear in the glaze.
