Description: Selling two antique original school slates chalkboard frames from Germany. Frames only. The alphabet letters look the same as American except the "q" letter is shown as a "qu". These two slates frames were found with some old German school readers in an old leather case. The readers I am selling separate. This sale is for both slate frames. They measure 6-5/8" x 10" not counting the groove all the way around that the slate slides in to. Would make cool pictures frames. Both frames are solid; both are missing the slate - the slate was broken so selling the frames only (see last two photo showing a piece of the slate as it was found at an estate sale (slates pieces not included); On one frame, the child added a letter in both upper corners (see third from last and 4th from last photos).
