Description: I've owned this piece since 2020. I purchased from a reputable dealer in the UK through Ebay. He has fabulous tea boxes that run into the thousands. My Buy Now price is what I paid. I will include my original paperwork. All measurements are in the Item Specifics section of this listing. I saw the word sycamore in my bill of sale, so I'm trusting the dealer that this is the type of wood the Caddy is fashioned from. It is background painted a light mustard yellow with a dark blue foliage design throughout. There is some loss of paint but it does not detract from the display beauty of the box. On the base, I also see a reddish brown colored vine. The lid has a dome glass, under which is a spray of flowers which sets the piece off nicely. Some of the flowers look to be made of a fine linen gauze. There is a tiny ribbon in there labeled "Souvenir". It has its original key which has some rust. I'll leave it to the next owner to decide whether to clean. It doesn't actually lock, however. Still, it's good to have the key. The metal key plate has a dark patina, but it's up to you whether to try to polish. Inside the caddy are remnants of a paper lining. I displayed this in my smoke-free home away from direct sunlight. Feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking!
