Description: A wonderfully crafted nouveau late 1800s English silver plate carrier for your large bottles or jars or carafes. The curved platform sits on 4 ball feet, and has beautifully twisted forms rising up to hold the glass in place. The top is highlighted by a pair of serpents twined around a beautifully formed loop rising from a figural leaf. See photos for both marks. I have personally found this (again) in my storage of items from the past. I spent time giving it a nice polish, but it could use a little more if the purchaser so wishes. I found no breaks, separations or repairs. I also did not notice silver loss, but please use the photos as part of the description. 10.5” tall. Interior size for glass diameter approx 4”. See photos. I am delighted to send more information including photos. I have been a collector of antique glass and silver plate for many decades now. I always purchased the finest in terms of condition as well as rarity and beauty. Now that I no longer have space, these old eyes will be posting on ebay. Probably one item at a time is the best i can do. but look at my past and you will see fine items and reviews. i pack and ship very carefully, always insured. I do not accept returns, as these are antiques and have inherent signs of love.
