Description: This is a very nice early 1900s apothecary bottle, with label and glass stopper, from the Frank Brandle College Pharmacy in Northampton, Massachusetts. Frank Brandle opened his pharmacy in 1901, located across from the Academy of Music and near the gates of Smith College. The label on this bottle is partially covered by another label, and the writing (in pencil) on the label is impossible for me to decipher. Examine the photos carefully, including part of the advertising section in the Smith College 1905 Yearbook, showing an ad for the Frank Brandle College Pharmacy, advertising “The Richest College Ices and Soda, served in our new Ice Cream Parlor. Agent for Huyler’s Candies”.
