Description: THANK YOU FOR VIEWING MY AUCTIONS :~)the white spots in the pictures are lighting glare It is hard to reference this when there seems to be noothers to compare it to ;~) Stating bid is almost 1/2 of what I have had this listed for - Here is a chance to either bid and win OR Buy it now ;~0 This listing is for a Metal Space Shuttle ( I think Challenger )with opening cargo hatch with plastic cargo intact mounted on a solid Walnut Plaque 5" by 10" and 3.3/4" deep Also 1 deck of sealed Playing Card and a 3" Tall Pewter space shuttle model see pictures - Mounted on the Walnut - there is engraved brass plate that states SPACE & MISSLE COUNTRY VANDENBERG AFB. CA WELCOMES THE SAC PME TEAM 31 JAN 83 - 4 FEB 83 The Spacecraft measures about 7" Long wingspan 4.3/4" with NASA UNITED STATES USA and American Flag Decals I purchased this from an Estate Sale in Bellevue Nebraska the home of the Strategic Air Command USAF - I am unsure of the reason for the mission visit ;~0 I just know this is a super cool piece of Military and Space History - you can take the hanger off the back and use it asa desk display OR Hang it on your wall - I do not know how many exist but I am glad I found this one to sell ;~) I am not starting it cheap as I do not want to sell it for $1.00no further reserve - Highest bidder will own this - if it fails to get a bid - I will probably make it a buy it now Listing for $1000.00 - Who else has one ?
