Description: (Ungraded) authentic Half-Real (1/2 Real denomination) Spanish-Colonial Era Silver cob coin, minted 1650-1700 approximately, unidentified source/wreck (acquired in a collection of other coins which were almost all post-hurricane beach found, though this coin is in markedly better condition compared to the others in that lot). I believe this particular cob came from Peru (Lima maybe, uncertain) The coin is mounted in a custom, handmade bezel pendant setting, constructed of Sterling Silver with one small, round faceted emerald set into the bale at the top. The pendant is open on both sides, making it reversible, if desired, though the emerald is only visible on the side of the coin with the cross. The gross weight of the entire pendant and coin is 5.10 Grams, approximately. Coin is not graded, see all photos and judge the item for yourself, the photos are meant to be the primary descriptor and all items being sold as-is. Thank you for looking!
