Beautiful Antique Curved Front Highboy Chest of Drawers–NEEDS TLC

Description: Offered here is this Beautiful Antique Curved Front Highboy Chest of Drawers. The piece is in stable, sturdy condition, but it has a fair amount of veneer loss on the front of several of the six (6) drawers, as well as on the front of the bottom trim. It has the original oval bail pull handles still on it, and they should all polish up nicely. The piece has lovely hand carved fluted detail at the top of the front trim as well as in the center of the two top drawers. The drawers are all in good condition, and slide in and out easily. I am unsure of the age of the chest, but it is stamped with Hickory MFG. Co. The drawers have dovetail joints, and the chest sits on slightly curved bracket feet. The top long drawer has a built-in divider in it, and one of the top small drawers has a little built-in trinket tray. The chest is 48.5” tall, 34” long across the top, 21” wide front to back. The top of the chest has a lot of surface scratches and dings on it as well. The entire piece will most likely need to be refinished, however, it is a gorgeous curved front chest that will be an amazing addition to your antique furniture collection, as well as a useful addition to your home.
