Description: FREE SHIPPING when you spend $60+ BERLIN ~ BUILDING EXPO 1957 ~ Vintage Silver Enamel Travel Shield Charm Due to a housing shortage in West Berlin in the late 40's and 50's Berlin held an International Building Expo in 1957.The Congress Hall was the American contribution to the International Building Exhibition in 1957. It was declared as a gift of America to its close affiliate of West Berlin. Since 1989 it has been used under the name "House of the Cultures of the World" as a site for events and exhibitions. The charm is marked ROMA BERLIN 800. I suspect it was produced in Rome in the late 1950's.The 2 light spots on the lawn are from the sunlight, there is no damage to the charm. It measures 5/8 inch high including the integral loop by over 3/8 inch wide and weighs 1.1 grams. The condition is VERY GOOD VINTAGE to my eyes, now using your eyes, enlarge the viewing area and decide if the charm meets your expectations.
