Description: Big Shot Comics #24 CGC 2.0 Columbia 1942 Golden Age WW2 Uncle Sam Tojo HTF 1/17 Book is over 80 years old - one of the handful of Big Shot war covers that are all hilarious. Here we have Joe Palooka crushing Tojo like a softball, with Uncle Sam as umpire. Great war caricature cover, published of the time / while WWII was playing out across the world. Nice historical item - amazing it has survived. HTF at all... One of just 17 total graded CGC copies. Low grade, but as a CGC Blue Label you know it is complete, free of restoration, and has no cutouts. Encased which will keep it protected for the future. Nice presentation - though there are areas where an experienced cleaner could improve (ex - some pencil marks where somewhere along the way a kid worked on a math problem lol) Rare seller, and an opportunity to get a scarce book at entry level - and a copy that punches higher than its grade IMHO. Book was not cleaned or pressed before sending for grading I will make a note and take pics on the rare occasion I post a slab with a crack or break. Otherwise the slabs are nice = (minor scuffs, typical with age or shipping, CGC/CBCS “allowable” stuff like newton rings, weld seams, scuffs from shipping etc)…. to flawless.
