Description: This is a mask that I acquired locally that appears to be marked by either a museum or academic institution with a catalog number for their archives. The tag inside of the mask say it is “BoBo mask from Upper Volta and 150 years old”. I sent photos and a description out for an on-line appraisal and the expert said it is currently worth $1500-$2500 and would be worth substantially more if it was determined to be over 150 years old. ( I will provide the letter from the expert if you are a serious bidder). It is a unique mask for a serious collector of rare African items.
