Description: I built this to be dark, strong, authentic, and to feature the FULLY G.I. style hooks, continuously curved and very strong, on a dark MILSCO 1942 (Milwaukee Saddle Company, still in business!!), to make a good, strong, SAFE, stable alternative to a real vintage sling, cheaper, but quite capable of lasting a lifetime. This should be neatsfooted on the back side if it is to be used and used for carry or sling wrap. Adjusting and seating hooks is not pleasant. Many use pliers to do so. Sometimes folks sharpen the hooks. These hooks are real phosphate ("Parkerizing") and heavy duty G.I. format. Dyed. A few shots still show the original paint-blackened civilian straight steel fittings, which have now been changed and massively upgraded. Extra heavy duty rivets are in use. This should last longer than a lifetime.
