Description: Maker: This beautiful cabinet plate is by the legendary Limoges maker Charles Field Haviland. Design: It was produced for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and bears the inscription "Reproduction of a China Trade Porcelain Plate About 1750-1760." A floral band surrounds a delightful harbor scene of rowboats in the foreground and tall ships in the background, flags unfurled. Marks: On the reverse are two designations: a gold "Ch. Field Haviland Limoges, Limoges France" mark and the black mark of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or MOMA. Condition: The plate is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs or wear. There are several spots of gold paint under the glaze on the back - they were created in the manufacturing process and are shown in the photos with the red arrows. Size: The plate is 9 inches wide and weighs 1 pound. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
