Description: The Joint European Series (JES) of Classics Illustrated was the term coined to represent those titles and issues printed across Europe -which included versions in German, Swedish and Dutch. Sixty-seven different titles were published in these languages that were never originally published in English. In the 1980s -long after CI were no longer commercially published -a devotee of the series translated the JES titles and painstakingly adapted the artwork so that these could be appreciated in English for the first time. It is these translations that we at CCS Books are now publishing, having refreshed the artwork and covers.
