Description: This vintage coin bank features the beloved characters Cowboy and His Bear Friend themed from the book series by Joan Walsh Anglund, written in 1950s. The bank was handmade in Japan in 1972 of molded plaster with a hard painted coat. It is an original piece and perfect for collectors of still piggy banks, banks, Children's Book characters and fans of Joan Walsh Anglund children's books. The little Cowboy's hat has a real string tie. The design is adorned with intricate details and is sure to be a unique addition to any collection. Very good condition. There are 2 tiny chips at the back to Bear's tail, a pre-firing of blue underglaze paint just right of Bear's tail. See Photos for 360 views.
