Welcome to Dog Park, a mid-weight, competitive set collection and point-to-point movement game about walking dogs. It’s designed by Lottie and Jack Hazell of Birdwood Games and features water color illustration by Holly Exley, including 221 unique dog cards. In Dog Park, players take on the role of dog walkers recruiting, walking, and caring for their dogs over four rounds. Each round is split into four phases: Set-up Phase. A central market is filled with dog cards and a bonus card is revealed, adding one-time bonuses to the Dog Park. Recruitment Phase. Players take part in two rounds of bidding to add dogs to their kennels. Bids are made with players, victory points, so must be placed wisely. Walking Phase. Players journey through the Dog Park with their fellow walkers. In this round, they’ll collect resources, score victory points, and interact with other walkers and their dogs when they share the same location. Home Time Phase. Players score victory points for their dogs walked, and lose points for any unwalked dogs in their kennels. Players must choose their routes and dogs carefully to score the most points and prove they are the most accomplished walker of them all.
