Beneath the carrying case, a weather shield is concealed, ready to surround and protect the contents no matter the meteorology. The compact 22" x 13" x 10.5" outer dimensions are suitable for overhead storage in many airlines; however, it would be wise to check with the individual carriers' luggage terms for weight and size requirements for domestic and international flights.
