French Blue Cable housing original made in France fits Rene Herse Alex Singer

Description: This is original old Made In France blue cable housing. No ferules. Unlined which is typical. We have a big spool of it and we've cut off 72" which is enough for a front and rear brake. You can also use for derailleur of course. The housing is eactly as shown in the photos. You will need to cut to length for front and rear (and be sure to file/smooth the ends). A Campy 1.8mm brake cable we think is too tight in these housings. So best to use Weinemann or Mafac cables that are thinner. Of course, if you're using modern 1.6mm brake cables they will fit great. There are many modern repro cable housings available, but if you want something truly vintage and made in France, than this is a great opportunity. This item is perfect for that old Rene Herse, Ale Singer, Cinelli, Masi, Hetchines, Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL bicycle that you have. This item will be great for that vintage lightweight bicycle that you may be displaying at Classic Bicycles Auburn in June 2024 in Auburn Indiana at the famous Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum The fine print: It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine if an item purchased from us is safe for use.
