It winds up fine but doesn't unspool as quickly as it should. I feel like the main body might be a tad bent which is binding it up and keeping it from working as it should but the important part is the spring is not broken, the gears are all there and unbroken so I'm sure with a little bit of adjusting you can get it working perfectly again.
