GM Delco AM/FM Cassette Radio (Parts or Repair)

Description: GM Delco AM/FM Cassette Radio This is a Delco AM/FM head unit that came out of a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro. I removed this from the vehicle in 2010 and stashed it in my parts bin. It has been in there since. I've recently been digging through the deep forgotten parts of my parts bin to list inventory and ultimately clean it out. This radio will do better for your project car than it will sitting up in mine. The story behind this piece is that it was the head unit in the 1986 Camaro project car I got back in 2009. When I got to taking the console out I came to find out that the radio connectors were cut from the harness and this radio was set in place to fill the hole. I have no idea if an aftermarket head unit was installed in the car before it was removed and this was set in it's place. I'm not exactly certain what car this would have originally came out of but, I have been told this was a G body head unit. I can't confirm that for sure. I have not been able to test this piece to see if it works or not. The face plate is cracked from all the heat cycles and UV exposure. The majority of the switches and knobs are still on this unit and the tape deck rollers are clean. All the knobs and switches move like they should and are not frozen up. The case has corrosion from sitting in storage for so long. From what I can see the internal circuit boards are clean and don't show any dirt or corrosion. Best I can tell the part # is 16029077. It has another # on it as 28866A. It might also have a date code of 10/15/83. These #s are all behind the volume and tuner knobs on the face plate. It doesn't have any of the factory ID stickers on the case. Review the photos for the physical condition. What you see is the exact piece of rusty cruddy electrical junk you will receive.
